Because the directivity of the traditional subwoofer is all
directional, it belongs to 360°diffusion, so in most conventional
subwoofer, there's a lot of bass energy behind the subwoofer. In
practical applications, this part of the bass behind the speakers
will seriously interfere the sound monitoring system on the stage,
influenced the performance of the actors. Usually the way to deal
with this situation is: Adjust the position of subwoofer, speaker
processor tuning, to get a directionality cardioid bass array.
